Thank you for choosing the Red Lion, we are now in our 7th year of bringing you good value quality food. We use produce from a local butcher, greengrocer and potatoes from a local farmer. All our steaks are extra mature British beef giving great flavour every time. An ideal place to come for business lunches, and if a little pushed for time you can pre-order. We have fresh fish delivered on Wednesday and have Steak nights on Wednesdays and Fridays. We believe our Sunday Roasts are the best around with many regular customers coming back for our choice of Beef, Turkey, Lamb, Half Roast Chicken and Gammon.
The Red Lion, as well a serving great food, is also a great place to come all year round for entertainment or just to chill in our back garden whilst watching the horses. We are open all day with food served 12-14.15 and 18.30 - 21.15 mon - sat and 12 - 17.00 on Sundays. We also have 5 en-suite bed and breakfast rooms in a separate block in the back garden.
We also have a golf society that gets together every month, a darts team that play on Thursday nights from September to April and also a mountain biking group who ride every Sunday from 8.30 til 12.00 finishing at the pub for some refreshment. Most importantly to us the Red Lion is still a proper English Pub, serving real food while still welcoming drinkers with the traditional pub values that seem to be disappearing around the country.
