finding the Red Lion is easy...
Great Offley is an attractive village situated just off the A505 road that runs from Luton (5 miles) and Hitchin (3 miles). Little Offley is situated about 1.5 miles north of Great Offley.

From the M1
Leave the M1 at Junction 10.  Take the A505 ring road around Luton following the signs for Hitchin. Once in open countryside  on the dual-carriageway take the slip road just past the Silver Lion pub signposted Great Offley, Lilley and Kings Walden.   At the top of the slip road, bear right across the bridge  then immediately turn left towards Great Offley. Continue for 1 mile then turn right at the crossroads in the village (signposted Offley Place). The Red Lion is around 500 yards straight ahead.

From the A1
Leave the A1 at Junction 8. Take the A602 exit which is signed to Luton Airport and Hitchin. After 3 miles at the first roundabout take the 3rd exit.   At the next roundabout, turn left. Then go Straight on at the mini-roundabout and join the A505 dual-carriageway down the hill. Take the first left hand slip road signposted to Great Offley,  and Lilley. Follow the road into Great Offley and at the brow of the hill  turn left (signposted Offley Place). The Red Lion is around 500 yards straight ahead.

By Rail
Luton station is served by trains run by Thames Link (London and the South) and Midland MainLine trains from St Pancras, Sheffield and the East Midlands).  A 10 minute taxi journey  (or bus)  to The Red Lion.

Hitchin station is served by WAGN trains from London (Kings Cross), Cambridge and Peterborough   there are connecting services to Yorkshire, East Anglia and the North East.   A 10 minute taxi ride (or bus) to Offley Place.

By Air
Luton Airport is 10 to 15 minutes away by taxi.

By Bus
Route 101 runs hourly between Hitchin  (5 past) and Luton  (40 past) passing through Great Offley village.  Journey time  about 20 minutes.
